Winner of the 1st prize "National Classical Guitar Contest of Granada" in 2009, obtaining the National Youth Award of Spain at the age of 19. "Giraldillo de Honor for the best classical guitar performer in Seville" and winner of the 1st prize "Contest International Classical Guitar of Zarautz" in 2007 with only 17 years.

 

Born in Pamplona but living in Madrid, she graduated in the specialty of Classical Guitar from the "Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid". Master's Degree in Teaching in Secondary Education.

 

Her passion for music comes to her from a very young age thanks to her entire musical family. Influenced by her father, also a professional guitarist and composer, at the age of 6 she began her musical journey with the classical guitar. Her concern for music and the curiosity to feel different sounds and timbres, has led her to expand her musical studies in other instruments such as the piano, the double bass, the ukulele and the voice.

 

She has played live for "Radio Varna" (Bulgaria) and has accompanied artists on television and in concerts such as: Miguel Bosé, Vanesa Martín, El Arrebato, Manuel Carrasco, María Parrado, Huecco, Carlos Rivera and Estopa, among others. She has been a guitarist and backing vocalist for Manu Tenorio.

In addition to her guitar side, Yhael is a singer and composes her own songs, capturing her feelings, emotions and personal experiences in lyrics and melodies in a more direct way. In 2016 she was a finalist in the "1st Castillitos en el Aire Author Contest" held in Madrid and was selected by the "Association of Creative Women of Spain" (AMCE) to perform at the mythical "Café Berlín" in Madrid.

She is the founder, guitarist and singer of the female trio “Blue Muses”.

In 2023 he will publish his first CLASSICAL GUITAR album titled “NIEBLA”. A very emotional and unique record. All the works included in the album have been composed by his father, Jesús Martínez.

 

She combines her artistic work with teaching, being a Music Teacher in Secondary Education in the Community of Madrid and  Director of the MUSIC AND ARTS ACADEMY "DAYHA MUSIC/ARTS".
